Do you ever wonder....

Who reads these blogs? I know a few of you post comments and have made comments to me in person before, I just wonder who else reads them just to be nosey!! But regardless I love writing on here, espeically since I dont have time to do a journal anymore. I have written in a journal since I was 13 years old and still have them, so this is fun! I hope the boys appreciate it when they get older to look back and read these!

Well whatever, we are closing in on the big first "last" birthday! I know this sounds silly but every time I think about it or plan for the party I get sad, yet happy. This is it, no more for me, my LAST FIRST! YIKES! I guess that is why I a making the best of everything I do and why I have such a positive additude all of the time, I know time is going fast, so why not make the best of it! Doesn't pay to be pissed off or crabby, that doesn't get you anywheres! So anyways, we are 12 days away from being "1" and only 9 for the big party. So hard to believe, Owen is such a delight to be around, always happy, who could ask for a better baby! I do have to say that he is exhausting, he is so busy and mr. go! For the past 3 weeks he has started walking, he will pull himself up and let go of whatever he is hanging onto and walk 10-12 steps, and has done it more and more now! See pictures below! It is fun to watch him walk like a zombie, fall, then get right back up again!

Here I go mom

I'll stop and pose for a picture.... CHEESE!

almost there....
Other than that Bailey has started football and loving every minute of it, even after an hour of stepping on a nail and in pain, he practiced hard! He is trying out for QB again, also kicker! He kicked it straight thru the goal from the 20 yard line 8 times in a row....... potential Vikings kicker!! Wouldnt that be nice! I also signed Brady up for Soccer, I didnt feel we are busy enough (LOL) so he is looking forward to that! I thought that he could burn some of his energy off by playing, plus I love watching the boys play any sport and so does Owen! They are enjoying their last few weeks on summer vacation before school, their sitter went back to college so they have a new one. The Nelson boys have been watching them and I am not sure who is having the better time, Justin, Jesse or my boys!! LOL Thanks guys! I think they are both eager to get back to school, I know I am! The checkbook is always at it's lowest in the summer! LOL
In the last post I said that my one main goal before Owens party is to get the kitchen painted, well it got painted, only I didnt paint it!! I cheated and hired it out, but only because the price I was charged was too good to pass up! So now I can focus on other things and I have been cleaning house like a mad woman when the boys go to bed!
Rodney has been busy working alot of hours and has also spent his time helping coach Bailey in football as well as helping out my dad as much as he can, so we don't see alot of each other much these days. So that is that, I am sure my next post wont be until after Owens party, I have stock in kleenex that is forsure!
Isn't he a ham?

I love these ones...

Mr. grown up and all handsome....

This was my mini photoshoot for some projects I was doing..

Best buddies! He sure is a mammas boy!

GO VIKES!

Owen loves the Gator, it is just trying to convince Brady to give him rides!

Update on all of us

All the boys are doing great! Bailey is finally done with baseball after his last tournament this last Saturday, it was fun to watch him, but glad that we get a bit of a break until football starts! Brady also wrapped up tball a few weeks back, it was also fun to go to his games too, I think the kids learned alot from all the coaches and had a fun season!

After a rocky start to summer, the boys are enjoying the rest of their summer vacation! The are alway busy doing something or going somewhere and just having a blast! It is funny how well they are getting along most days anyways. I think now that Brady is older and not in that "baby stage" Bailey likes to include him and actually play with him. They also love to play with Owen and sometimes fight over who gets all of his attention and who can play with him. I just have a feeling they are all going to be pretty close and good buddies! Bailey completed football camp last week, I think he learned alot from it and is excited to start the season, his sitter would know better though, for Bailey would make her and Brady play football with him everyday afterwards! I only had to play a few times!

As we speak Rodney is on his way home from Sturgis. Him and my brother left last Friday morning on thier bikes. We talked to him a few times, and sounded like there were having a good time, could of did without the rain though. The boys and I had fun while he was away, we made trips to the library, went to the park, to the river, every kids favorite - McDonalds, Cannon Crusin' days, we ordered pizza and I let them build a fort in one of our trees - they loved that but still have some finishing touches they need to add! It was a fun week, but also exhausting, so I think it is my turn for a mini vacation! Too bad I won't ever take one! LOL

As far as "Stacy" goes, not much on my end. Just having fun with the boys and enjoying life. My next project is to paint our kitchen now that I have Owens room all finished. I plan to have it painted by Owens birthday party, so that gives me 1 month to complete that task!

As far as the rest of the summer goes, it has been pretty busy so far and even though things have slowed down a bit, we have a few more things to do this summer. We are taking the boys to a Twins game, it will be Brady's and my first game, so that should be fun. Sometime we have to squeeze in Underwater World, I got free tickets from a co-worker, I think Owen will love that!

So that is the Braatz family in a nutshell, life is wonderful and I am so thankful for what I have and who I have in it!

Until next time!

Talking on the phone!

They both had to take Owen down the slide!

Aren't they cute?

11 Months Old

Well not technically until tomorrow, but I won't have time so I am updating today! 11 months old, so hard to believe, even harder, in one more month my baby will be a year old! I am alittle behind, but I just started planning Owens first birthday party! I tear up every time I think about it, so for my sake I am planning a rather larger get together to celebrate Owens milestones this past year!
Of course Owen is still the perfect baby, but I do have to say he is a busy little guy! He never sits still anymore and wants to always be on the go! I don't want to admit this, but he is pretty close to walking, I don't think it will be long and he will just take off! He has already taken a few steps and why I practice with him I really don't know, I really am not ready for him to walk! But I guess it is not up to me anymore, go Owen go! He also loves to climb the stairs!

Owen is loving all the new foods we are introducing to him, so far he loves everything, but then again anything is better than that baby food crap! It is fun to feed it to him!

We are just enjoying every minute we have with Owen!

Weekend fun!

Some close friends of ours invited us to their cabin in Wisconsin, we all had a blast, thanks Whiteye and Missy! Of course the boys lived in the water, Owen tried too, but the water was alittle cold for him, he didnt like it that cold! He was busy exploring everything, he had alot of firsts that weekend! It was alot of fun and we can't wait to go back!!

Put me in the water.....
