Brady, Brady, Brady

This kid really knows how to keep us on our toes, but I wish he would find other ways than this!

Lastnight he about gave his mamma a heart attack! Short story version, he found like pretty rock at daycare, about the size of a pea, maybe alittle longer, he brought it home with him and it was on his dresser. He got up after I tucked him in and brought it into bed with him. I hear him wimpering and crying, I walk in there and he told me he stuck the rock up his nose!!!! Seriously who does this!? Obviously a curious 4 year old! I am in panic mode, I carry him to the bathroom, screaming at him to get him to blow his nose, instead he is sucking... bad when you have a rock stuck in your nose! I then screamed for Rodney, he came hobbling into the bathroom, tried the buger sucker- well that was too big. I then called the hosptial begging for help (I am sure she thought I was nuts), but then Rodney got the tweezers and worked at getting it out, what seemed like forever, he finally got it out!! Holy crap what a relief! I know it scared the crap out of Brady, he wouldn't really say much afterwards, I know I was scared!

Why do kids do these things? I rememeber when Bailey swallowed a nickle, that was a nightmare as well!!!!

I am affraid it is only going to get worse........boys, boys, boys!!

Can I share a story with you? You're not alone in this stuff...

When Emma was 2 she swallowed a key for winding up a music box. I called 911! She was breathing but coughing, coughing, and CHOKING! When I saw the blood start coming up, I panicked! I held her upside-down, just like I had learned in all my training... But if it hadn't been for the operator on the 911 call - - - who knows what I'd have done. Finally the key came out, and the ambulance was not sent... All better for now.

Then when she was about 4 she pushed one of those tiny earings that Barbie dolls wear, into her ear. Yep, right into the ear canal! We took her to one of our neighbors who is an EMT for that one. She got out her medical bag and used a long thin tweezers to fish it out.

She's my only kid who has done that stuff so far - - - but, WHY? Who knows!

Kelly that is a horror story, I can't imagine what I would of done if that would of been our case! I so need to take one of those classes, for some reason my boys just like to stick objects where they don't belong!

Kids will be kids. They sure keep us on our toes don't they! I can't say that my kids ever personally stuck anything in there nose. But stacy you have to ask my sister Tammy about a red hot up her nose. HUMMMMM. HAHA.
